What a tree's patience teaches me

An oak takes decades to become what it is. It doesn’t try to grow faster than the light, water, and season allow. It just grows, year after year, without forcing it.

I think about that often when a code project drags on longer than expected, or when an idea takes a while to become clear. There’s a difference between being stuck and slowly growing. Nature never seems to be in a hurry — and yet, nothing ever stops.
